Salvete and Welcome to my Webpage!
My name is Dr. Bartolo Natoli and I am Assistant Professor of Classics at Randolph-Macon College. Although interested in the classical world more broadly, I am most keenly interested in Ancient Sexualities and the intersection of Classics and Pedagogy, especially the use of technology to teach Latin and Greek.
In addition to my research, I also try to be an active member of several professional organizations. Currently, I serve as the Editor of the Classical Journal Forum and as a member of the Editorial Board of the Classics journal, Teaching Classical Languages. He is also the Coordinator of the Virginia Governor's Latin and Japanese Academies. Before coming to Randolph-Macon, I traveled a winding road in academia and met a number of tremendous people along the way. I was born in Heidelberg, Germany in 1985. After moving to America, I took his B.A. in Latin, Greek, and Secondary Education from the University of Richmond in 2007. Then, I took my M.Ed. in Adult Education and Training from Colorado State University in 2012. Finally, I received my Ph.D in Classics from the University of Texas at Austin in 2014. On this site, you'll find a sampling of my research, pedagogy, and links to my classes. I hope you all enjoy! |
